Dexcool is supposed to last 5 years, but if it is not flushed after 5, it will blow the head gasket. This is what the repair shop said anyway....
My mechanic hates the orange stuff so I switched to the green (prestone?) stuff on his recommendation.

2 years on the green stuff? Is there a mileage limit too? Ha ha, and I thought all I had to do was keep pouring more in . Gotta put a flush on the list. Hrrmmm, 2 years would go back to the first time I visited my non-Saturn mechanic. Gotta look it up.

LOL lies... he just wants more money.. How could it blow the headgasket? Cant thats why...

i dont know why everyone hates the ornage stuff. ive had it in my truck for years(left the factory with it, flushed it all out and added new stuff at 100K) and havent had a single problem. doesnt use any either.

I replaced the green/brown stuff in the chevette with orange and its been a year since ive doen that hand nones missing and cools excelent (almost too good)
