WTB: VX or CX manual transmission in Houston Area

Nevermind... I GOT IT! : )

WTB: VX or CX manual transmission in Houston Area. I want a lower geared 5-speed transmission for my '97 civic HX. Looking for a 92-95 CX or VX transmission in good shape. PM me.

Kent

Checked craigslist and honda-tech. No Luck. I found one at a salvage yard but he want $450 so I think I am going to look around some more. My throw-out bearing started making alot of noise yesterday so a transmission is become a necesity. Anybody know where I can get one for less than $200?

Alright, I got one from ebay for $41, but it didn't come with the VSS. So now I need a VSS from a CX....right?

No....I learned that almost any civic VSS from my year range works. I love learning new things when I don't have to spend anymore money.

Sorry for reviving the dead thread. I was wondering if you completed the swap on your hx. If so, how's your mileage so far?
