WTB: used scangauge

If anybody has a scangauge II for sale, let me know. Or if anybody knows of a place to buy one for under $160, point me in that direction

good luck - seeing as how the SG-II recently hit the streets, I doubt you'll find 'em used anytime soon. I love mine!

now if you're in the market for an SG-I, I think I can drum one up for < $160

haha i can vouch for the same deal.

hey lindermatt, if you FAS on your civic, does the SGII still freezes up for a few seconds before calibrating the average FE with the engine off?

you should i have at least 4000 miles of FASing in my coupe and boy the number of FAS... haha at least an infiniate number.

I just want to see if SGII fixes that bug, just find a street and fas at 10 mph! you wouldn't believe it if I told ya you can still steer with a finger without power steering if your travelling above 10 mph.

you have an auto tranny though, so you CANNOT use it as much as me BUT that doesn't mean you can't use it

but boy your taller tranny sure makes up for the FE!

I hooked my SG1 up to the Prius today to check it out and found the Hybrid setting to keep the thing awake - wasn't seeing that great a gas mileage.

So the mileage it was reading is below actual? If thats the case I might as well save up and buy a SG2; theres no use in spending any amount of money on something that wont accurately gauge my cars performance.

Seems my friends daughter is a lead foot and the Prius computer was showing 38mpg average for the tank - the SG1 reads about 41mpg when I took it for a 3 mile ride. It is due for an oil change which I will probably do tomorrow with some driving to get it warmed up first and then again when I return with the new oil and see how it does on longer distances. The onboard MPG calculator doesn't seem to register trip average - guess I am spoiled with the SG 1 and 2. Funny thing is I had to go shopping for oil today after YEARS of not buying it - man it has gone up a bit since maybe 4 years now. Not trying any 0w20 in it this time just the standard 5w30 that it recommends since it is not my car and I can't replace it should something go wrong. Would like to Synlube it however to see how that works after we get some baseline MPG readings. The SG1 and 2 are basically the same functionally and I doubt that much has changed in the 2 since it still locks up in my xB when I remote open the doors once in a while just like the 1 did. It does however have a much easier to read display and is a lot REAL LOT smaller and easier to mount. Believe me once you spend the $170 you won't complain about it.
