No I think he means that the Prius mileage is not that good. The SGI and II will do just fine. There is a adjustment sceen to tweak the mileage and fuel consumption. Look here http://www.scangauge.com for details.

Oh ok, I thought JanGeo meant he took out the SGII and put in the SGI, and wasnt seeing the same FE reading. I cant wait until I either find a cheap SGI or have the money to spend on a new one. Right now Im driving blind as far as FE goes

Yeah she had a Acura CL3 and thought she was getting 39mpg but it was more like 18mpg with a V6 - it had some tuneup issues that she payed for and that didn't get done apparently ... so she traded it in for a used Prius thinking she would get like 60mpg but she can barely get near 50mpg with it and this tank is in the high 30's so far. WIll be checking the mileage today with the SG1 in it on a longer more fuel conserving trip that I usually drive in my xB and will see how I do.

I guess we have to go to Scangauge to purchase the Scangauge II, or to Ebay? Are there no discounts on this product?
Why aren't there other companies making a similar product?

X2; Im really not trying to spend $165 on something that will end up saving me about $50 on gas in the next year. Im not on this site because I hate the Big Oil, or because I want to squeeze every last .10 mpg out of my car, I just want to save unnecessary spending, and this is one of the easiest ways to do it
