Wanted HF transmission
If anyone comes across an HF transmission that I could get for "cheap", on any site, or anything, I would appreciate it if you would let me know. I have an 89 Wagon that I want to put it into.
Thanks, Gary Palmer

How cheap is "cheap?" There is one at the junkyard, but it might cost around $60+core+shipping

Matt: "cheap" is SVOboy cheap. However, regarding reality, I don't know. I would like to do it for as little as possible, but $60 sounds like a pretty good price. Do you have any idea what the core might be?
I have two brothers who live in Salt Lake, but one of them flies back and forth to Los Angeles every weekend and works in Los Angeles. I talked with him and I just blew it because he drove to Salt Lake and back, over the last week, including the 4th.
He was telling me about a "overstocking" problem that they are having at Strawberry Reservoir, so I was talking with him about maybe taking a week off, in September, to come up and try to help out.
So I don't know, but it sounds to me like if I am patient, I could get it transported for a nominal amount.
Do you have any idea of how much it weigh's?

It weighs around 40-50lbs I think. I had one shipped to me from one of the southern states for around $45 via UPS.
I am planning a trip to the junkyard. I was going to go today, but I can't think of a reason to go. Maybe I'll go anyway because they have good Street Tacos there and i am hungry.
I'll check the price and the core for you and let you know. let's hope it's still there.

this may be useless, but upon freeing my HF tranny from the stubborn mounts months back in the saga that is the HF-Z, the tranny dropped square on my sternum and although I didn't die, it was unpleasant so it's relatively light. If I had a scale...

I checked the junkyard yesterday. They want $80 for the transmission and $15 core. You can probably get one shipped to your door for that much if not cheaper.

Ok, Thanks, for checking for me. I'll try to see what I can find.
Thanks,

Hi,
do you have a 4WD transmission? I could trade you my CRX
transmission for it. We would have to look at the details, but for now
I just want to know if yours is 4WD. This would be for my Hybrid CRX
project. Shipping: Crate it, and ship it. It costs money, but that's what
it takes. Or pickup, I live in Boston.
Tom.

Nope. Unfortunately it's not a 4 wheel drive model. Thanks for the thought, though.
