Vehicle Finder

If you are looking for a vehicle, I am willing to help you locate one.

Either post here what you want or send me a PM. After my recent success finding an automatic CRX that gets 40 MPG highway, zero body rust, etc., I have some pretty sharp tools to locate vehicles.

I managed to find a 1966 GTO convertible, 100% original, for a friend lately even, nearly factory new.

I will need your city, state and zip to utilize all tools, just drop me a line!

Yes, I'm a moderator. I have already gotten several replies - will be sending some info to those who have replied. This thread seems to be a success. If anyone does purchase a vehicle with my help, please post about it. Not trying to make a buck - just trying to share my skills with others. Sometimes my contribution to saving gas is helping others do it. =)

Yes, there was some weird database corruption and I've "swapped" my vehicles to fix it. Still have to swap pics & gaslogs - so by the time you read this next it will likely be fixed.

I'm looking for two different cars,

The first is for my little brother. Looking for a VW Golf TDI within 150mi of Cincinnatti Ohio, stick shift. Prefer less than 80K miles and '02 or newer. Budget is $12K-15K depending on mileage.

The second is for me. I'm looking for another CRX HF, any year, minimal rust, mileage doesn't matter. Within 150mi of Indianapolis. The biggest thing I am looking for is an UNMOLESTED car. Rust and seat wear doesn't scare me like bent frames/body kits/engine swaps. Prefer red with black interior, second preference is any color with black interior, but would consider anything. Budget is $1500-2500

I can't find an HF within 350 miles of Indianapolis that is unmolested right now. I purchased a CRX DX (40 MPG, auto, air!) in Orlando, FL and I live in Charleston, WV. Indianapolis does not have CRXs right now.

Here's one:

Likely the best CRX in the area I can find right now. =(

The TDI is diesel, correct? If so, cannot find a one, searched about 2 dozen sites. Must be popular. If TDI is non-diesel, please give me more info.

Yeah TDI is diesel, and they are very popular. They usually sell within a few days of being posted unless they are grossly overpriced. I was on the phone with a dealer in Chicago at 9pm on Tuesday and at 10am the next morning as I was on my way to look at the car he called and said that had just sold.

Okay - after further research, if you want a TDI you WILL have to travel further than 150 miles. I tried to do the same as you, and to get the first CRX that I wanted, I had to travel about 1000 miles each way. The second one I'm going to get I already know where it is, it's in Sacramento, CA and I am in Charleston, WV, but it can be shipped.

I'll keep posting some of the "for sale" VXs and such, but this project is pretty popular and I am spending most of my free time right now looking for other people's vehicles. It's kind of fun!
