I thought for sure you'd send it to eBay. I'm sending my Insight to eBay this weekend. I know it's too much $$$ for most here as I am hoping to get a bit above bluebook - hey it can happen and just might. Rare color (desireable to some), excellent gas mileage, and excellent condition mixed in with the almost $3 a gallon gas prices may help.

Hope you sell that Civic!

They quoted me $550 to Houston. Not too shabby.

Weird ^. They quoted me $750 to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I figured it would be cheaper.... Let me think it over a bit...(see if I can have another car)

Just remember... the car is NOT in perfect shape. Still needs some love to get it up to par... hence the lower price.

That's only about 2,400 miles round trip of driving. Do what my dad did when he bought his Porsche 356 Kit Car: find a truck, rent a trailer from U-Haul & choose a weekend to haul it over (my dad traveled for an entire week to go from Regina SK Canada to Lyons Falls NY USA (nearly 4,000 miles round trip).

Well, I'm actually in Houston right now. I figured it would be cheaper to go to Tulsa since it isn't as far.... I think after renting a U-Haul and the 2,400 miles plus the drive back to Tulsa for a truck I would spend over $550 in gas and rental fees.

The dakota gets about 10mpg when towing a car and 16mpg driving regularly.

If gas is averages $2.70 that is $526.50 in gas from Tulsa to Salt Lake City . Add in the rental fee and gas from Houston to Tulsa at 43mpg and shipping looks like the best alternative financially.

It would be more fun though .

Are you sure there is a high risk driving distances? Most cars limp highway pretty well I think.... Then there is the flying and driving option....
