Unhappy My VX is for sale

My VX is up for sale. It's a '92. This is a 49-state "federal" VX with lean-burn that I bought in Colorado had shipped to California in April.

I bought the car earlier this year when the gas prices were crazy (almost $5/gallon in CA) and I was driving 50 miles round trip to my girlfriend's place 4 to 5 days a week. Well we broke up last week. So my gas sipper is up for sale.

I average 45 mpg with a 70% hwy / 30% city mix. I do utilize some hypermilling techniques (take off gently, shift below 2500rpm, <70mph on the freeway, coasting in neutral when I can) but I'm not a serious one, so your mpg may be more or less depending on your commute pattern and driving style.

EDIT: the car has 185/70/13 tires, and I haven't accounted for this in my gas logs. Adjusted for the 4.75% diameter difference over stock, my average is 46.6 mpg.

•$4,500
•142,500 miles
•clean title
•all stock, never modified
•no accidents
•engine doesn't burn or leak oil
•transmission shifts perfectly, no grinds or pops
•clutch doesn't slip, plenty of life left
•a/c blows cold, heater blows hot
•new distributor @ 137k
•new ignition plugs & wires (NGK) @ 139k
•new 5-wire (L1H1) O2 sensor @ 141k
•paint shines, no oxidation
•tires have plenty of tread left
•CA smog certificate in hand, registration paid thru May 2009

Imperfections:

•drivers seat bolter has a rip (common)
•3 inch slit on front bumper cover
•couple door dings

I don't need to tell you that a VX in this condition, unmodified, with A/C, is rare. It took me half a year to find this one.

Serious buyers, please PM me and I can send you a copy of the carfax report.

Just because you traded the GF off for a newer model doesn't mean you have to get rid of your baby.

No kidding.

What are you going to replace it with?

Haha I'm selling it because I no longer have to drive long distances - which is why I bought the VX in the first place. It'll be of better use to someone who does drive a lot.

I'm thinking about selling my Miata as well, and with the $ from selling both cars, buying a used S2000.

Now that you don't have to spend on a woman, buy a new S2000. Or, wait a few more months and buy the new Camaro.

FYI - the new owner came and drove her away tonight. I just know I'll kick myself someday for selling her...
