ATTN VX OWNERS - Trade Your VX rims for 14" HX rims

I would be willing to trade a set of 14" HX rims for a set of 13" VX rims. With or without tires considered. Let me know what you got....Perkasie, Pa 18944. May consider shipping or meeting half way. 267 280 3569 or post or message me.

It was more of a PM to Ben than a thread, but yes...new project in the forcast, outlook shows definate probability of success.

Just got back from swapping my extra set of HX rims with Frank for his VX rims (Thanks Frank, nice meeting you).

Will be the 1st Mod for the 'new to me' 1st generation CRX.

why the desire for the VX rims over HX rims? the wider range of tire options in narrow sizes?

I'm not an expert by any means on Hondas, so correct me if I am wrong but..
The VX rims are a little lighter than the HX rims (1-2lbs each I believe).
I am now able to go with the 13" tires that came stock on the CRX HF. Yes, this opens up my availability to more than 1 size and brand of tire, while still keeping my speedometer and odometer accurate.
I was told of a 13" LRR Kumho tire that is very inexpensive. The tires would not be as wide as the 14". Plus, hopefully a 13" tire will weigh less than a 14".

Thank YOU, they look awesome, and handle great!

There is a guy in this thread who makes centercaps, second to last example would seem the closest to what you'd want. He probably charges much less than what honda wants.

edit: if you go to the first page of the thread you will see another option: buying some 2" metal "knock out" plugs from home depot for 70 cents a piece!

i have a set of vx rims unpainted in good shape. 3 centercaps, missing one. two newish cooper 165/13 on front, two michelin rainforce or something 165/70/13 on back, they have about 50% tread. I am open to trade, and am willing to meet you half way. are yours in good shape too? tires?

edit: I'll take some pics of all 4 tomorrow, so you can see what they look like.
