1992 Civic VX Interior Wiring Harness & EGR
Hello fellow Gas Savers,
I have a beautiful cabin wiring harness from a CDM 1992 5-wire O2 Honda Civic VX complete from the under-dash fuse box to the ECU, and out to the p/s shock tower and headlight; the dash harness to the gauge cluster; and the d/s harness to the EGR all the way to the headlight and washer tank. Only blemishes are a few wires clipped at the radio connector (original connector is still there, though) and a clipped connector at the horn (can provide original connector). As you probably know, this wiring includes all the essential wiring in OEM colours for all the special VX features (5-wire O2, VTEC-E, clutch switch, upshift light and EGR)
Also have a VX EGR for sale.
Take both for CAD$125, including shipping anywhere in N. Am. I accept Paypal.
Regards,
Eric

Re: 1992 Civic VX Interior Wiring Harness & EGR
The harnesses are uncut from both headlights to the interior cabin, save for at the horn, but I have a replacement pigtail for that (vehicle had an aftermarket horn installed). Additionally, I have a VX engine harness now that is complete, but only cut at the distributor, but I have replacement pigtails for that too.
These harnesses have all the important VX-specific wiring like for the 5-wire O2 sensor, EGR, up-shift light, etc.
The REAR cabin harness (attaches to the main harness in the driver's footwell, and goes to the gas tank and tail lights) is not in any way special to the VX so I didn't pull it. You can acquire this from any CX/VX/DX/Si you find and they are all basically the same save for the addition of a rear wiper (DX, Si) and trunk light (Si).

Re: 1992 Civic VX Interior Wiring Harness & EGR
the distributor sensors unfortunately are extremely sensitive so extending them is not an option even with pigtails
the only option is to attach new replacement pins with proper crimp tool and hoping the existing wiring is long enough to reach
if not the entire harness would require to be torn down and those wires would need replaced or the entire engine harness be replaced.
specifically the ckp/tdc/cyp dizzy sensors...also the trip signal from the ecu to the ignitor is subject to resistance change which determines the exact firing time of the coil for each plug
the distributor is probably the worst wires to ever have cut
too bad...because had the owner of the harness had half a brain they would have learned how to depin the connector properly or learned how to rewire the correct distributor they needed internally with the vx wiring & dizzy sensors
but in light of all that...if the harness wasn't cut too short and would still reach the distributor with new pins crimped i would be interested.
otherwise you are barking up the wrong tree with ANY contrary explanation .
i've been through honda wiring diagnosis too many times.
if you want to fight me over this then you will attach the pigtails any way you claim to be proper and then make a video showing an ohm meter attached across each of the dizzy sensors showing me a reading that is within spec.
if that doesn't bother you...then i'll post up the specs if you need them
yes you will need a good distributor to test with

The originally posted harness could be of much use to me. The damn mice have eaten a bit of my headlight wiring, and a few other things!

Not sure where this aggression is coming from. This isn't a tech thread, it's a for sale thread. I am describing exactly the state of the harness to the best of my knowledge. If it will work for your purposes, then I am happy to divest myself of it. I do not intend to do any repair work to the harness - I will leave that for the buyer. Of my own accord, I have generously sought out replacement pigtails, and these will be included with the sale. You are free to use these or not as you desire.
FYI, less than 2 inches was cut at the distributor.
Finally, to both posters directly above, please contact me through PM to discuss the finer points of the purchase if you remain serious buyers.
The EGR is already sold.
