You Could Really Help

You Could Really Help

This is an unfortunately more common occurrence; an email from Patriot Guard Riders, the folks who honor veterans on the way to their final assignment......
by escorting them to the cemetery.
And assuring that the sacred rite of burial is not disrupted by ....... those who would not show respect.

Won't you help.

The email:

PFC Nicolas H. J. Gideon, 20, Murrieta, CA 15&18 July 2009

This is now a confirmed Mission. The Family would like for

the PGR to attend PFC Gideon?s arrival home and his military honors. The Family

is planning for his arrival at Camp Pendleton on Wed 15 July and his military

honors at RNC on Sat 18 July 2009. A complete Itinerary will follow.

This will be a two Part Mission.

Part one:

On Wednesday 15 July 2009 the PGR will attend the arrival

of PFC Gigeon from Dover AFB. He will arrive at MCB Camp Pendleton near

Oceanside CA. We will escort him from Camp Pendleton to England Family Mortuary

27135 Madison Ave Temecula CA 92590.

The PGR will stage at the Denny?s 487 HARBOR DR. OCEANSIDE, CA 92054 US.

We will ride on to the base together.

Timetable:

We do have dog tags for this mission.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.

Everyone is welcome. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area

you will be briefed there. Dress casually if you are driving a cage (car) have

registration, and proof of insurance.

Each motorcycle rider should have registration and proof of insurance as well.

You should also wear hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long

sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOD helmet. A brightly colored

reflective vest is no longer needed. You should monitor this thread by checking the

?Email me when someone replies to this thread ? bug and you will receive an email if there

are any changes. This is important because this mission involves an aircraft arrival.

Arrival times can change at the last minute so

please check this thread for any last minute changes.
