What is your favorite bulletin board software?

What is your favorite bulletin board software? I am going to begin authoring a new forum module for this site that will not only decrease load times, but will just be easier to navigate and be more user friendly.

This site is run with Drupal, which has a very poorly written forum module. Drupal is mainly used as a blog site or a content site (www.theonion.com uses drupal). Many people have opted to hack PhpBB or another forum software into Drupal, but that is just way too messy for me. Besides, if I can author it to fit our specific needs then all of hte extra stuff hogging up resources won't be there.

Do you like PhpBB? VBulletin? ZeroForum?

I will either attempt to mimmick another bulletin board software, or take certain aspects of all of them and make a nice little hybrid.

Input is greatly appreciated on this one.
