Uhhh.. by "we" who exactly would you be referring to? I sure as hell don't buy into that crap. I use about 5 squares of toilet paper per day. If someone told me that that used more energy and caused more planetary damage than driving a hummer and living in a huge *** house, well.... I would probably punch them in the face, making sure to shatter their nose. Then again, I can be a pretty violent guy sometimes...

i'm still not convinced of GW, but...
there's no question deforesting is not good for anyone/thing. when i worked in paper, the mills claimed to plant 2 trees for every one that was cut down.
construction would most def be a greater threat, as i doubt those companies replace what they tear down.

It's radicals trying to stir up what cannot be achieved by the right or the left. It's irrational thought that is perpetuated by those radicals and government elite, and it serves to tie up individual freedom.

what are we becoming the USE(urope)?
no offense to Europeans, but our success does not conform to a large socialist state.

Really, if you are concerned about the environment and issues concerning it, the best thing you can do is to vote with your dollars. That is, to shut them up in a safe bank (is that an oxymoron?) and make do with what you have. I have thought from day one that these "carbon credits" were a scam, and from what I have read in independent reports, they are pretty full of holes, and the companies behind them are not quite on the up and up.
Economic activity, in the sense that most people understand it today, directly correlates to planetary destruction. To make anything, pollution must be created. To destroy or recycle anything, pollution must be created. Hell, even being alive and breathing, or even dead and rotting for that matter, ends up polluting.

You've posted some things that I disagree with, but your statement above is spot on.
I can appreciate being responsible in many ways, but the marks that radicals are pushing are not attainable. And it is that kind of stuff that has placed a target on those that have a "liberal" stance on issues. Similarly, a target has been placed businesses by radicals that are not attainable. This is the new warfare that radicals have devised, devised to generate continued crisis all the time that has everyone reacting and attacking...but not recognizing the radicals.

you took the words right out of my mouth. i had to look back to make sure i didn't misread his screen name. i'm proud of you Erdrick!
to paraphrase my posted article...
let's go ahead and push for impossible "green" legislation and watch china and india take manufacturing the world over. meanwhile laughing at us and polluting like never seen by anyone as our economy NEVER recovers!

"in the sense that most people understand it today"
I think sums up the problem.
If people spend almost all their life being propagandized .... they believe in 'Planitary Destruction' and that what they exhale is a vile poisionous pollutant and that normal life functions of everything are casuing something terrible.
Guess our work is cut out for us. Lets get to teaching before things really get out of hand.
