We Need More "SUSTAINABLE" Energy

OIL PRICES HAVE RISEN 133% SINCE OBAMA TOOK OFFICE.

GAS PRICES HAVE RISEN 70.4% SINCE OBAMA TOOK OFFICE.

THE NATIONAL AVERAGE IS NOW $3.80 A GALLON.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) worked with the North Dakota Geological Survey and other experts to study the Bakken Formation in North Dakota and Montana ...
we have more oil in America than in the entire Middle East.

The Department of Interior believes that North Dakota and Montana have an estimated 3 to 4.3 billion barrels of recoverable oil in this area,
and it could be extracted at an approximate cost to Americans of only $16 a barrel. Oil is now over $100.

Studies indicate there may be more than one trillion barrels of oil in oil shale, a type of sedimentary rock found in Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado's Western Slope.
THAT IS NEARLY THREE TIMES THE RESERVES IN SAUDI ARABIA.

The USGS also predicts that there are up to 16 billion barrels of oil in Alaska's ANWR region.

More windmills. We need more windmills.
And solar panels too.

Re: We Need More "SUSTAINABLE" Energy

From '01 to '09 oil prices went from $30 to $130- 433% is more than 133%. What? Who was prez? They go up and down short term but trend up long term? You don't say!

What? Gas prices went from $1.60 ('01) to $3.00 ('08)? That's almost 100%!

Bakken oil reserves?

http://www.factcheck.org/2009/03/us-...-oil-reserves/
http://www.eia.doe.gov/energyexplain...=oil_home#tab2

...2 to 4.1B bbls estimated recoverable oil in the Bakken vs U.S. oil consumption of 19M bbls/day (gasoline 9M bbls/day, or 378,000,000 gallons per DAY): 2-4.1B/19M = 105-216 days... right?

Wanna take a victory lap around the U.S. for 6 months worth of oil?

Where'd you find the $16/bbl cost shatto? A reputable source? Care to share? Inquiring minds want to know.
