Yeah, but so is saying that he just needs a little money to get to the next province over. So really, your answer was the perfect complement to his request.

...and considerably less logging. Too many corporations are getting their hands into the federally subsidized pot, and as a result, it's imperative that everyone buy a new couch for every season, a new car every year, and the latest high tech gadgets. Consumerism is great! Support your local CEO!

Ding ding ding! Consumerism is starting to become a subjectmatter of interest for my art projects at university. It all started with that dang videogame: The Sims. So much blatant consumerism it's hillarious. The plasma screen TV has a 'fun' factor of 7 while the B+W one is only 2 . I just find it so interesting that we're a society that bases happiness on mere material objects.

That being said, I LOVE my new mattress! I'd invite all the GS members over for a sleep over, but I think it might break... Just kidding!

There's always a demand for furniture. People around here love sales and the latest fashions. My mom gave me her old oak kitchen set she bought brand new 10 years ago and bought a 'chic' new set for her condo (which I find a bit odd since my mom used to have an eye for classic, and disliked contemporary or post-modern). Also people are really drawn into the whole "Do not pay until 2009" or the "get a free LCD TV with this furniture purchase". It's really no different than the people that buy new cars every 3 years.

I love rolling towards the back. I always have this fear of falling off of couches when I sleep on them, so rolling into the back is great for me.
