BTW Schwarzenegger is terrible but I like his earlier sci-fi stuff like Running Man and Total Recall.

Also in the "terrible but somehow good" category is "Lost Boys" it's not really a horror film that much, and has some really funny bits if you let high expectations go and just go along for the ride.

I remember The RoadWarrior..To understand who he was, you have to go back to another time..the world was powered by the black fuel & the desert sprouted great cities..Gone now, swept away..two mighty warrior tribes went to war & touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Without fuel, they were nothing..thundering machines sputtered & stopped..Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice

I never saw a Schwarzenegger film for the acting. The Terminator is probably the one I liked best. The first one, where he stuck to playing a completely emotionless machine. Suited his talents perfectly.

Really? I never knew many people who watched it or heard of it, but then, I don't think it'd have been terribly popular in this neck of the woods anyway.

Only being on FX definitely limited its exposure. Took a while, but it won an American Film Institute Award in 2008. Just in time for it to end, ironically.

yes, and his best acting is done now as the Governator. it's a drama about his bleeding heart for the pepople of california.

i suppose he has aspirations of becoming the prez someday if an amendment allows foreign born candidates. problem is he'd have to run democrat to have a chance, 'cause he ain't no conservative!
