Taken somewhere in the Mojave last year on my route 66 motorcycle tour. I really wish I could tell you where it was but that day turned into such a blur with the unrelenting 115+ heat on a motorcycle with no windscreen or anything.

My old family friend Andy moved back to his home town in Sweden, took his beloved 63 Thunderbird convertable with him, gas was 5.57 a litre , it had a 16 gallon tank, the car became a weekend only car.

Almost bought a Diesel Mercedes before the gas price hike of 2008, diesel used to be cheaper than regular, now its up there with premium or higher. In Europe fuel itself is so expensive, its cheaper to buy Wesson Oil for your diesel, so much so that cooking oil supplies are running low. Course here in America, a gallon of cooking oil is still more expensive than diesel.

I don't know what prices are in Africa or Russia. South America I know plenty of people use alcohol, Japan China, I wonder what they pay, then there is Austrailia. I have heard that the price of gas in Saudi Arabia is 2 gallons to one American penny.

Not quite.

According to that PDF: In Venezuela in 2008 it was $.02/liter for gasoline and $.01/liter for diesel, and that's way lower than any other country. The next closest was Iran at $.10 for gas and $.03 for diesel (and if you buy more than 120 liters/month it goes up to $.53).
