The "Little Engine that Could" - - the VW 1.4L mystery)

2016 saw VW introduce a small turbo 1.4L to replace the somewhat dated older non-turbo.

IMHO, this tiny power plant is a real winner (NOT a weiner)...................

First, fuel economy is damn near off the charts.............

Second, my own (2017 Jetta 5M) - at 44,000 - has zero defect/issues to date............

So why do I write this? The 1.4 seems to be a real triumph..........

It's the 2016 to 2022 factory spark plugs.

I believe all years used the same Bosch double platinum plugs.

AND YET THE CHANGE INTERVAL IS DIFFERENT FOR THE SUBSEQUENT NEWER CARS..........

WHY?
