well the good side of all this is that people are saving alot more, rather than spend tomorrow's money today and be in deft for a long time.

a house is a emotional thing, but even if you own it outright, you still have to pay prop taxes, insurance, utilities, and upkeep. just try not paying the prop tax, and see who really owns the property.

You can't buy a 1 square foot piece of land for those prices in RI, even post-crash.
