I've read that's why home grown doesn't increase cancer risk significantly, if at all, since most people don't use fertilizer w/ alpha emitting heavy earth elements, or any fertilizer at all.

I wouldn't say that. Although homegrown tobacco would be free of Po-210, there would still be the issue of carcinogens produced by the combustion process.

There's also likely less exposure too, so in many cases any additional risk may get lost in the polluted mass we call air. How many doobies can one person smoke in a day?

hmm, 28 days now without a cigarette...that means 110 days left until the Polonium drops to half the radiation in my body.
PSY- How's your quitting going with the Chantix?

Don't smoke - never could understand the allure of choking down something that the body obviously rejects naturally.
Congrats on being smoke-free for 122 days now!!! And more congrats on getting your wife to start stopping! (I do mean that)
Hopefully you can inspire others as well.

I never schmoked anything legal, and haven't smoked anything illegal in about 20 years. I did try some chewing tabacky last week, because I was working with a Hillbilly who was chawing, and he offered me some. But I really didn't like it, except for the spitting part.
