Yep. Oranges grow here too.
From four boxes to one. the dot on the corner of the box is one of 90,000 labels.
About penny size this will finish the label around the wine bottle neck.
Since I had the rest of the day to get home, I detoured and headed east to visit a tree.
At the new park entrance. That looks big....
It is big.
Look closely. Once, this tree was much bigger!
At the base of the tree, this opening is around ten feet across.
And it is not uncommon to see Redwoods with fire scars.
But this was catastrophic. Maybe lightening blasted the top off the tree.
Hmmm. No snow this year. Let's go see about that.
Can't go here.
Couldn't even get to the gate.
Snow had frozen to ice. Didn't even wet the tires.
You would have loved the movie..... I grabbed the camera, in my right hand and stepped out, and CRASH! fell on my right side and elbow. Oh. Ice.
Getting up would have been an interesting show.
ops:
Then, when I took the photo, I heard the truck slipping back until it hit a dry spot a couple feet behind the rear wheel.
So I went over and...couldn't go there either.
So I parked and had this weird dream about the Hoss and Little Joe and....
Frustrated, I decided to get a toddy.
Odd. American made foreign cars.
Cute part froze man made lake.
Pretty view.
An absolute dive. I've seen barns with more style and personality. The bathroom wasn't even clean.
And I couldn't even ski.
And they sure didn't need these.
So I started back...down from 7,000 feet to sea level.
More of that old frozen snow.
Down hill from now on.
Into the foothills. What do you suppose caused the ruts?
Back through cropland, with trees with Howie Long haircuts.
