School kids

I wanted to post this in the "News" section (but I guess *I* can't )
Just a few miles to the west of me is a sleepy lil ol town with some pretty creative kids . They won a mileage competition I thought I'd share the link for those that may be interested . A.L. Tribune

That is pretty neat. Wish we could of done something like that. Even all my auto shop classes I had later we fiddled with garbage - whatever we drug in on our own to work on. (just Vocational School and Junior College)

We at least had the Co2 cars too, but that was junior high. My car was slowest. I had this thing about looking good first and fast next. (followed over into my first 1:1 car too though it at up gas soo quick I could actually see the gas gauge move!) The Co2 car I built had a serious base coat clear coat, something that wasn't the norm quite yet and not for a junior high school kid for sure (7th grade). Man, it did look awesome though. Great design and you could look at the car and it had depth.

My first 1:1 car looked very Dukes of Hazzard ...Hemi Orange ,AmericanRacing Turbo wheels and a body that waved at ya like Daisy Duke ...didn't have a DL often enough to drive much though . Wished I'd known about FE then ...
