It turns out that the email I got for the second chance bid was a fake. They were probably trying to get my paypal info. When I got to the dealer, he knew nothing about it and even showed me where the buyer had put a $500 deposit down. Dar scammers!

That could be, when they are in stock form. However, a friend and I have done some research on the head design and have found that there is huge FE potential in the 2.7 engine. The good thing is, it won't take all that much to tease that extra FE out. For very little more than it would cost to change head gaskets I could have the carat 35-40 mpg. With another $200 or so it could be approaching 50mpg. It's just a matter of seeing things as they can be rather than how they are.
With all of that being said, I may be getting another Saturn. There is a '99 Saturn in Paramus, NJ. The auction will end around 10:00am this Saturday morning and the bid is at $860. The salesman has told me that he is willing to talk because it is apparent to him that the auction will not reach their reserve. It sounds like there may be a road trip in the future for my son and I.

stay on it this time, to the last second. I have been outbid 5 seconds before the auction ended.

I actually lost last night in the last 1.5-2 seconds. If I had been using DSL I would have won. There was an auction that I won once that was showing 1 second when I made the next bid and won. Way too much lag time with sattelite.

Why would you exempt the Viper from POS status?
