What happened...

that is my 1984 civic dx hatch back, it was "totaled" when I got stuck in rush hour trafic, and some guy rear ended me when the rest of the trafic came to a dead stop, hit me at around 30mph, pushed me forword about 4-6 feet (with my brakes locked up) in to the person in front of me, only front end damage is a trailer hitch size hole thru the bumper and radiator, rear damage is the car is about a foot shorter, and the rear axle is pushed forword on the drivers side about 3 inches.
it's my dream to someday chop the body, as it's 100% rust free (and in wisconsin that says something) and remount the rear axle, shorten the body a little, narrow the rear end to make it more airodinamic, basicly something simaler to the CRX, only more of a taper.
of course I'm not sure how soon I'll get to that project, it's been sitting for a year already, but it runs great, was getting 42.2mpg average, fully loaded, most of the time with two people, and cargo, highway driving at 75mph, and the engine has about 60,000 miles on it, so I kept the whole thing.
I keep the photo of it up to remind myself, and other people to be carful! don't tailgate, and pay attention.
