Rex-O-Saurus jacked

To my amazement, I go to get in the CRX and it's gone. Some desparate fool stole a $2000, beater car. I live in a decent "safe neighborhood" in Temecula, CA where the crime rate is relatively low. My neighbor's BMW was sitting across the street.

If someone stole it to strip it, I think they'll probably bring it back. It was completely stock and the parts couldn't be worth much.

Oh well, now I'll see if the police find it and what my insurance company will come up with.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Wow. That's the second GS members car to be stolen. Hopefully they just went for a joy ride and will run it out gas and leave it beside the road unharmed. Truly sorry.

Thats one of the worst things to walk out and (not) see... I was in the same situation when my motorcycle was stolen. "Did I park my bike somewhere else?" It will work out for you - hopefully the cops will find your car unharmed and the theif convieniently tangled up in the seatbelt... Hang in there.

To make it worse, my golf clubs (which were worth close to 1/2 the car's value) were in there, and I was probably on a record mph tank which would have brought my average up. Somehow I doubt the jerkoffs who have it are concerned about gas mileage.

Hopefully your insurance deductible isn't too high.

The golf clubs might be covered separately under homeowners insurance, too.

CRXs are so cool. I hope you get it back in good shape.

Send a message via AIM to Brian D.
C'mon, Temecula, I lived in Lemoore (farmland about 45 minutes south of Fresno) and I shouldn't have to tell you that as long as it's CA or Nevada, that car is highly coveted. When I moved back to the east coast I sold my '91 HF with 300K miles for $2250. yikes! Those folks out there go nutz over these cars. Sorry to hear of your loss.
