I suppose. But the counterarguement is that if it's that unimportant, unofficial, or controvertial that they don't want it on the radio, it can wait till they're not driving. it's just one of those things that If they NEED to talk to dispatch, they can use the radio. if not, they should concentrate on driving and watching for the god-awful drivers around here.
I can at least understand the arguement (albeit not totally agree with the act) of not wearing a seatbelt because it can get tangled in all the stuff on their belt and impede egress from the vehicle.
