According to the soon to be previous owner, the S10 I've got gets over 30 mpg @ 60 mph. a figure I'm not inclined to disagree with. it's light, low ratio diff, and a smallish engine with low down torque.

its what i have too. i wonder if my mpg would go up or down if i went 60 instead of 55...you would think down but im not sure of its sweet spots. what year do you have? mines a 95 with a 5speed.(yours obviously has a manual tranny) i know the 98+ s-10 automatically get better mpg because they had a head/intake change that yeiled slightly more power(not much more) and better mpg.

The S-Dime should get pretty good mileage. The truck I drive at work ('08 Ranger 2.3 Duratec/5AT) gets over 20 with myself and the two leadfoots I share it with driving it - and no freeway time. At only 3400mi, it's probably still loosening up, too.

87 2.5 I4 Its a pushrod design with a single TBI. 4 speed manual and what looks to be a really short rear end just comparing gear sizes. I'll count them when I swap axles this week. but it's got no AC, power steering, power brakes, ANYTHING.
