Our "neighbor" (he is a neighbor technically but we cant even see each others house because of the distance and trees and mountains between) does that. There is a Folk Arts school not far from us - only 5 minutes or so. He usually is outside playing some funky instrument and smoking marijuana with friends. I know he also makes clay art. At the bottom of our drive way he made this ridiculous totem pole out of his mistake pottery and things. It's rather creepy seeing this totem staring at you as you drive up the road.
A lot of people move to our mountains from New York, all hippiefied. It doesn't sit well with the local rednecks to put it lightly.
