A mechanic said this about ODB3: "I remember the OBD lectures in class early this year that turned into full blown war and debate. OBD3 could report your speed to the insurance company, and police dept. It would be able to report ANY vehicle malfunctions and if you don't repair them, you get ticketed or whatever."
