New Peugeot 208

Featuring petrol, diesel or 100% electric engine with a 211-mile range, the all-new PEUGEOT 208 embodies youthfulness and the future of driving without compromise. The electric one appeals to me.

A serious consideration for me too, that interior is like something from the future, and the range is just perfect. If they don't price it too high, this will be a sellout. Metallic yellow in gt trim please!!

Come to think of it, its assumed the new 208 Gti will be all electric too, so I'm gonna wait for the stats on that first. The current gti is a huge success and has 200 BHP, so the new one should be even quicker with an electric powertrain.

Have you seen the new 508 by Peugeot Sport? Same engine as mine but two electric motors too. EV only range of about 30 miles and around 400 BHP. Looks amazing, and rumour has it that it might actually make production.

That's a great looking car and I like the yellow. No more new cars for me but this could definitely be on a suspect list.

The platform its based on will be used for many other PSA group models too, like the DS3 and Vauxhall Corsa which is/was GM, so it will make an appearance in some form or another over there eventually.

Have to admit, I really like the rear too, reminds me of the legendary 205 GTI. Not so sure about the gloss black wheel arch extensions, maybe they look better in real life. I think you can delete them.

So apparently 75% of pre-orders for the 208 are for the electric version. It's only available in 4 countries to pre-order currently, so only 1100 have been placed, but still, it just demonstrates the demand and desire for pure electric versions of mainstream cars.

Pricing for the e-208 announced. Seems very reasonable, and as its a Peugeot, it's going to handle way better than the current crop of uninteresting compliance EV's. Going to hold out for the Gti myself, which is rumoured to be all electric too.
