i hear you xfi. i finally joined the suzukiclone army a year ago this month actually. and i had a relatively hard time finding one at a decent price - shopped for about 4 months before i got firefly #1. the good ones and the cheap ones were being snapped up *extremely* fast. a few examples of "cream puff" cars i missed out on:

i ended up making a 20% "profit" when i sold firefly #1. and i spent freely on it for maintenance & upgrades (i.e. if i had known i wasn't going to be keeping it i could have easily made more like 40%).
i practically had to buy it over the phone - i promised the owner a $100 non-refundable deposit if he would agree not to sell the car until i had seen it (the next day). while i was there looking it over, guy's phone was ringing from prospective buyers, and someone else showed up to see it. same story with the blackfly.
