Lift Problems

Working on my Tundra at my mechanic's today, his lift failed to shut off.
We could control the up and down and stop it where we wanted to, but the electric motor would not shut off and had to be stopped at the circuit breaker.
Anyone speak hydraulic lift?

The electric switch is probably stuck. Sometimes the contacts fuse together. That's why they say not to "bump" the switch. You can use a 20 amp light switch temporarily. I have.
