As far as I know it was Wayne. Early in the year Wayne, Tom and I were brainstorming about names and looking them up to see if they were registered. I think the hypermiler.com was registered back then too. I'm pretty sure that we checked that one.

I Googled myself and was surprised to find 4 that were actually about me. Darn! They're on to me.

My wife helped me think of a few things last night.

First project:

1) I will get the car above 50mpg (if it isn't already). I will then contact the city of Salt Lake City and ask for free parking (remember how they give free parking to anyone with over 50mpg?). I will contact the news media as well, and hope that it gets picked up and other newspapers will also write about it.

2) I want to begin planning a trip in my civic. It will be on one tank of gas, kind of like a marathon. The plan is to prove that you can get good gas mileage without breaking the bank (buying a hybrid). I will also contact the newspaper in each major city I go to and ask if they want to interview me/look at the car along the way. This will take a little more planning and more aero modifications before it can be realized, but it would make for a really cool news story.

Those are both really neat ideas.
