I've gotta admit...

I miss the way this forum used to be.

A few months ago I could come here 5-6 times a day and read something new and lately I check it once a day and I've only got a good 10 minutes of reading to catch up.

Even the spammers stopped coming in!!!

Gas below 2 dollars a gallon can do that.

the giving up of the spammers seems to make sense. that $14 bottle of fuel additive doesn't seem near as worth it when my entire tank is only about $25 now where I actually put $60 in my tank once before.

I think another factor is the election is over (and I'm glad) there was quite a few threads about political stuff that have also disappeared.

now is when you find out who looks at conserving fuel as a lifestyle and who looks at it as a way to get through the hard times.

I'm still here

The spammers have mostly stopped, but occasionally post -- but then I or Jay make them disappear.

Today's weather canceled my work, and I've been working on some ScanGauge posts all morning. I'll probably be able to post them soon.

And don't forget that political season has died off too, that was a lot of the traffic a few months ago.

I'm using the cheap gas prices to experiment with fuel saving methods without the risk of wasting an expensive tank of gas. In other words, now is the time to experiment. Gas will only go up.

I think we all suspect this little break in prices is only temporary. Things will pick up again soon. Heck I just showed up last month when gas was at its lowest. Noticed today its going back up again. 1.90/gal here in WA now and it was about 1.68

It dropped to about 1.49 here at the lowest and I saw it for 1.69 almost everywhere I went yesterday. I actually found it for 1.49 at the grocery store so I filled my tank from about 3/8ths instead of letting it go empty.

Guys,

You call this cheap ($1.49?) gas. I called it cheap gas when it was $.19.9 down from $.24.9 during a gas war. But as the old saying goes, "That was a long, long time ago" before the oil companies greed kicked in.
