It's hard to do the right thing when your surrounded by the herd. Have fun with the Mazda in the meantime!

You'll be back!

The real trick is to make a game of trying to guess what the next stupid move will be by the various sheeple... :-) It makes the trip much more enjoyable, and when you realize how little time is saved by driving like a maniac and jumping around, you can have a chuckle at the expense of the idiots!

Have to tell you, Psy: I wouldn't be able to tolerate 3 hours of daily commuting either.

How about drive fast and do aero and engine mods to get better mileage?

That is pretty much what I do. I will do any mod except drive slow

Also some mods help you drive faster, After getting all the extra weight out of my car it now goes up a long hill easier and accelerates at a light faster. Raising the engine compression usually can get you mileage and power. If possible you can get a taller 5th gear for your transmission and that will let you get better highway mileage without hurting your acceleration. Lowering the car can make it handle better so you don't have to slow down as much for curves. Water injection/acetone can sometimes get better mileage without any other work to the car.

I don't so much dislike the time. Its just Im out there with them longer and there for is more of humanity than I really care to see.

I like seat time. Just all the BS that seems to go with driving now days is getting a litte long on the tooth.

How much did your FE drop from the 1.5 hour trips to your new quicker trip?

I know the car needs a under tray on the rear. Some grill block action will be nice come winter. And easy to make for the mz3. Im not striping my car out.

It was nice to drive in with no SG in the car and the ifcd set on clock. I did load drive a bit. But other than that it was hammer lane and flip cows off in there suv's and mini vans that had soccer decals on the back and a cell phone glued to there ear.

Thumbs up

Yeah, it's a jungle out there...as a former mental patient and all around "unstable" character I don't know how I do it... My latest attempt at serenity behind the wheel consists of me talking to a picture of my dog that I taped to the dashboard. I focus on my conversation while all the azzholes fly by.
