Ok, so I pulled the spark plug and it's covered in black goo, maybe looking a little gritty. It also broke on the way out (hey, I used a padded spark plug socket) so I don't have to worry about cleaning it...I bought a new one.
Is there anything I should do before I put the new plug in? I was thinking of turning it over to spit any junk out the plug hole or using a rag on a wire coat hanger to try to see how gunky the cylinder is.
