Re: How much does everyone drive?

I used to put 18,000 on my cars each year from 2000-2008. When I got married and got the 2nd car, I only put 16,000 on my Si in 2009, but the VX still got 18,000 that year. We were on pace for 18,000 in the VX and 16,000 in the Si again this year, until we sold the VX. We have driven the Fit 900 miles in its first week, with another road trip planned in 2 weeks.

My commute is 18 miles each way, and my wife's varies (3 different jobs, depending on the day and time of year). Her commute is generally 20-25 miles.

Re: How much does everyone drive?

I average about 10,000 miles/year, despite being retired. I do a couple of decent road trips every year - this year two trips to NM and one to UT. Last year cross-country to FL.

When I worked, I almost never drove alone in a car. I bicycled, rode motorcycles, took buses, trains, ferries, vanpools, and carpools.

Re: How much does everyone drive?

8,000 miles per year has been my average on my daily driver for about 3 years in a row. The other cars get a few miles, maybe 500 miles total.

This year I did buy a motorcycle and have put 2,300 miles on it but about 2,100 of that was joy riding.
