I just got 100% out of debt a few months ago, it is really sweet!

So I say get out of debt first thing if you can wait on getting the bike. Then never get back into debt for anything except major purchases and pay them off early.

Me I will never buy anything on credit again probably, my houses, cars, and all my other junk is totally paid off and I really don't want monthly payments anymore. I am a cash only guy from now on if I can possibly help it. It helped me though because I am single now I was able to eliminate almost everything like cable tv, landline phone, and going out to eat a lot. My bills not counting food are ~$250 a month now and I have it made.

I have been well taken care of by my employer. The only payment is for a second house an older relative "rents" from us. Someday it might be a true rental. I darn sure have not controlled my expenses like you have. That is quite remarkable.
