There's also this home made CNC that won a Bright Star Laser Cutter

my dad had a home made lathe, he hooked up his electric drill upside down to the lathe with a big worm gear clamp holding it on. it worked pretty good. it has to have the button that holds the trigger down or it would be a pain to use.
