High Mileage

Saw this on another site (Bob the oil guy) and thought it was interesting. Post your highest mileage on your car that has not had the engine opened up and what oil and OCI are you using. Also if it's gasoline (P) or diesel (D).

1980 Ford F150-190k(P) Did not need to add oil between changes
Cheapest
5000 miles

Don't know the previous oil history
1994 Maxima- 128k (P)
What ever
5000 miles.

cheapest synthetic
about 12,000 - 15,000 km OCI

I sold it shortly after I bought Firefly #1. It's still on the road - I see it around town once in a while. The new owner loves it. He tinted the windows, put a bra on it and some blingy chromed plastic hubcaps.

My Geo is soon to surpass the highest mileage car I've owned.
155,000 miles
Use cheapo Tech 2000 'w****-oil' (non-virgin) from Wal-Mart
Every 4000 miles or so... whenever it turns black I guess. I never go more than 2 months without an oil change though.

Right now the Geo is leaking oil pretty liberally, but I've been procrastinating taking it to the shop. Especially at this time of year when mechanics think: "if it still runs, don't bother us!". Actually the Geo has never seen a reputable mechanic since I bought it.
