Guests

I was online here earlier today, about 6ish and I noticed that I was the only member online, but there were 32 guests online. Usually there are less than ten guests. I wonder why such a spike?

You haven't been here long enough. I've seen 67 guests + 4 users.

I'm still under the impression that the guests are actually Yahoo bots crawling the site. I don't care enough to check the logs, but maybe I will... whatever...

Anyway, Google crawls the site with one IP address, while Yahoo will crawl the site from 20 or so different IP addresses at the same time. The result is that the number of guests will instantly jump.
