I just bought gas for $1.599/gallon, a $1.30 discount. I brought all my decent gas cans and took home an extra 30 gallons. Total purchase: 46.414 gallons for $74.22.
Shaw's (another regional supermarket chain) had a similar program, but when we realized how much more we were paying for food there, we realized that the gas savings was not worth the extra cost of food!

Yeah, I don't buy my groceries at Stop & Shop. I buy at a Walmart supercenter.
I'm pretty sure the card I'm using is my mother-in-law's. I'm the only person I know who can get gas at Stop & Shop but plenty of people I know buy their groceries there.
