Gas prices on the move again
Went to fill up and the price of gas has gone up 16 cents since last fill up 7 days ago. Is that just in the south? That's why we need this site. Thanks Matt

Nah, it's gone up around
Nah, it's gone up around here too. I haven;t bought gas for 1.5 months since my car ain't running so I dun really know how much it has changed up here, but yesterday one of the cheap stations was at 2.12 and the other was at 2.27, so I assume their in the midst of changing up.
One of the things no one on this site has done is tested the gas from different stations, as there is generally considered to be a difference among the additives and what not.

I messed around with this
I have messed around with that a little but the process would be tough to do because you would need several tanks to get the old gas out and each pump shut off might not be the same. I've kept track of it and there is a noticeable different in vendors. Listed below.
Do you need to worry about tier two gasoline if you're running Acetone and GP-7? I would think you would just run the best for MPG and not worry because that stuff would be cleaning and cutting emissions. Which bring up a another question. If you do not show any improvement running the acetone or GP-7 do you continue to use for those reason?

SHELL 30.8
Chevron 31.7 31.9
Citgo 35.1 33.3
Honda Van. ( wife drive this so I have no control of fillup, use of AC etc)
HEB 20.0
Chevron 21.5 20.7
CITGO 24.4 24.8 24.4

It tooks me about 30 seconds, but I just thought of a way to do this. Using an old lawnmower we can put equal amounts of gasoline from different stations into it and see how long it takes to run out of gas. This can even be done with 1/4 gallon of gas.
Anyone up for the test? I don't have a gas lawn mower (have a push mower here) so I can't do this test.

Yeah, this is what some of the old timers do and i've thought about doing it for various things from time to time. I suspect it could be done, but will a gas station sell you 2 cups of gas?

Gas prices
Prices in the North-East have also increased starting about four days ago (that I noticed). 'Cheap' fuel stations are $2.35 87octane and average stations are $2.45 87octane. Such is life. Anyone hear any 'forcasts' for increases in prices towards $3.00 again?
