That's an amazing deal.

A local junkyard is paying $175 per ton for whole cars. They are buying them at this price strictly for scrapping them out.

Nice score. I've given allot of stuff away through freecycling but never gotten anything. Regardless, it's nice to be able to pass off those 'useless'/unused items to people who find them 'useful'.

Anything under $30 worth of value and it's freebie in my opinion. Who wants to dicker with seombody over a bunch of little crap? Just get it out of my garage please!

yea, I pick up stuff occasionally. TV (needed some work but BIG and still 1/5 the new price) huge stack of egg trays (to organize bolts working on the car) washing machine which I ended up freecycling back to someone else, etc.

Freecycle, surprising possibilities. Their was a guy on the Ventura site last week, who was giving away a 26' Sailboat, in the slip. I suspect he was behind on slip fee's and was just trying to get out from under the financial load.

My problem is I have to much extra stuff, no where to put any more and no money to do anything with something if I did get something.

THe only thing annoying about freecycle is all the emails you get. I spent more time deleting emails from them than I spent on the site.
