I would rock that thing. swap in a 100cc 4 cycle modern scooter engine and a gearbox with reverse, maybe some stiffer springs and viola.

oyea and chop the roof and side windows off

Man that thing is awesome. Would be a bit tricky to shift gears though... if it is a manual setup. Oh, and I loved the pull start action.

i dunno, all the crappy roads around here you could get lost in a pothole or flip the thing

it is cool tho, if i lived in a large city i would deff drive one.
