thats a generalization. maybe the people you know on it treat it like a popularity contest. i just use it as another way to keep in touch with friends and maybe make a few useful connections along the way.

saying its bad is like saying the internet is bad because of the amount of porn on it. it can be used for good or evil.

I never wanted to be popular, but in middle school and high school I was. I'm not social, so I didn't talk to other students but when you look 6-7 years younger than your age you draw more attention.

Bouncers at the club always check and re check my Driver license. I've even had one instance where a cop ran all the way from the parking lot where we parked our car and opened the door for me. Then he asked me for ID. I told my cousin that the guy was going to do that. When the cop opened the door for us and asked for my ID my cousin LOL. I was expecting it actually. But what I didn't expect is cops looking at me the whole night in the club, that kinda ruined my night.

Haha, I have a myspace account, but I never add any friends. It makes my real friends want me to add them even more! Seriously, I think it's pretty stupid, but it sure is popular - even my folks have at least HEARD of myspace.
