Yesterday, I saw a 97 Geo metro $1100 only 90,000 miles! Talk about a steal! I was ready to buy it as soon as I saw it! Called the guy to ask if it was 5speed or manual and he said it was sold, of couse, at that price!

It read: 1997 Geo Metro Four Door Sedan 90,000 miles

"Power Brakes Power Steering
Air conditioner, Four Speaker Stereo, New front tires. New front rotors 5000 miles ago and brakes. All accessories with it. Runs perfect. Rear seat back folds down for more carrying space. Very good little car. Silver gray in color.

As shown in Photo has ding in front hood. Price has been adjusted to allow for repair."

The ding looked minor. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/car/325609930.html

The Suzukiclone sedans only came with the fuel-wasting monster 4-cylinder engine though

Man, those are some cheap Metros. You'll NEVER find one at those prices without the car needing a major repair where I'm from.

I saw a few others as well, all topping a $1000. Seems like people are slowly understanding their Metros hidden value.

I did some looking and I found a '95 model with much less miles and more options than my car for $2,300:

Shocking to see one that low in price. Why on earth would people sell fuel-misers like these now with gas prices exploding?? (unless the got a hybrid for a new car).
