When will my car show up in "Browse Vehicles"?

When will my car show up in "Browse Vehicles"? I've been using Fuelly for 3 months now, and after 14 fillups, my model isn't in "Browse Vehicles".

I notice that there are other Hyundai Elantra Touring owners listing their vehicles as being an Elantra, but that's a distinctly different car. I've read the FAQ. I was hoping my model would show up as it's own model so that I could easily compare my mileage with others who have the same model.

Am I doing something wrong that is preventing my model from showing up?

Thanks, in advance.

Your "Hyundai Elantra Touring" was a custom vehicle, which means you typed the name into the site when you created your vehicle. Every custom vehicle needs to be approved by us for public display. We have this system so folks who type in expletives or other non-real model names don't show up in public listings. Sometimes we simply miss genuine model names and they don't get approved, or get approved late. In this case, the "Elantra Touring" wasn't approved, so I just approved it. Your vehicle should be showing up now.

I've been using Fuelly for 5 months and have a similar problem with my Audi A2. Maybe pb can approve mine also. There are no A2s listed at all in Browse Vehicles...they're common in Europe. The version I own was only ever sold in Germany as an "eco" vehicle. There are about 2000 in existence with 4 in the UK and 1 in Ireland.

Did you get around to adding my Trabant 601 yet?

Best wishes, Colin

Hi Colin, no haven't had a chance to add VEB to Manufacturers list yet. That process is a little more involved because I have to track down model information before I can add it. I'll be back in the office early this week and I'll send you a note when I get it added.

For everyone else out there, remember if the manufacturer of your vehicle is listed in our manufacturer list, you can choose "Other" from the list of models if your model isn't listed. here's more info about adding a model.

trabi and regtubby, "VEB Sachsenring" is an option under manufacturers now. You'll probably have to choose "Other" from the list of models and fill out your details.
