There is a cookie being set on the mobile version. I've only had to login once on my iPhone.

What phone/browser are you using to access the site?

using a blackberry 8830 from sprint using the bb browser. I see a cookie gets set but it doesn't survive a reboot of the phone despite the cookie still being there. Must be a sprint policy or something - they keep changing my homepage.

The cookie also doesn't set/work correctly on my BlackBerry Pearl 8100 on AT&T, but everything else does, and works great!
