odometer correction in profile

Many Jeep Liberty CRDs have been shown to have odometers that read low. It has been suggested that we make this correction when entering data at fillup. The issue with this would be that people browsing vehicles would not know whether the correction has been made or not. A nice feature would be to have a field in the vehicle profile to enter ODO correction +/- X%. The correction could be made automatically during fuelly MPG calculation. Then put some small indicator on the display so viewer would know if this feature was in use for a particular vehicle.

Sorry, but we're not likely to add a feature to work around a problem with a specific model. If you'd like you could always add a note in your vehicle profile along the lines of, "I'm correcting for low odometer readings in my Fuelly data." That would let others know that you're correcting for the problem yourself. Whether or not other people follow your lead would be up to them.

you could get a scan guage for your Jeep and adjust your MPH on it to show your real milage at fillups. I set my Guage with a GPS to get more accurate measurements. NOt spelling LOL! Check Scan Gauge II out on line. I is pretty cool if you are into higher MPGs.
